Cathartic Intro........

I was first introduced to trading by reading cast off issues of the Kiplinger letter in the 60's. My father, an aerospace executive (he preferred to be called an engineer), would place them on my pillow after he had absorbed their wisdom and swiftly acted upon it. I figured he either wanted me to dispose of them or absorb, ponder and implement said wisdom's. This was a lot to take as a 7 yr old but in no time I was introduced to the world of free enterprise and investments. Seemed easy enough, just read the newsletter, follow the advice and life was basically figured out. My first reaction was why don't they charge more for the keys to life but I figured what do I know, I wasn't a marketing guy.
Once I saw my first Wall Street Journal I learned, as my father always suspected, there were indeed people out there who were very easily impressed with themselves and were clearly at a loss for a purpose in life. Page after page of stories that were duller than dust, endless numbers in small print, this was in some small way subsidized by the American Opthamologist society no doubt. I would scan the journal daily not sure exactly what I was reading but somehow I knew the answer was in there, it had to be and I was the only one who was going to find it. I did find nice over sea sources for monogrammed shirts, numerous exotic car brokers and real estate ads for places Robbin Leach would someday frequent. T-bill/convertibles,P/E it was a foreign language from a foreign land but it intrigued me.....
